Making the Implicit Explicit: How should we as Teachers Respond?

  1. Why are the people in a bus? What message is being communicated? Do people in fancy cars not borrow money?
  2. Are some races represented more than others? Does this distribution accurately match census data?
  3. Why is one person wearing a costume? What is the significance of this? Which groups would this undermine?
